We're excited to announce that a long-awaited update to our award-winning website (www.MonroeCountyHistory.org) is coming very soon! It may have a new look, but it has the same great and easy to use search features. What changes will you see?
• A new, mobile-friendly look: We here at the History Room love the past, but we want our website to have a more contemporary, less-cluttered look.
• Enhanced searching capabilities: We’ve listened to your feedback and have made the new website phonetically and wildcard searchable while keeping the search box EASY TO USE.
• Increased resources for researchers: The website will now have over 1.2 million searchable entries! TEN currently available indexes have grown and we’ve launched TWO new ones: the Sparta and Tomah Property Resident Index (1897-1960) and the Monroe County Probate Records Index (1850s-1939).
