Monroe County Biographical Index (1878-2023)

This database is an index of biographies and family histories published in books documenting county or community histories.  Biographies from the Lynn and Cressy Post GAR books are personal war sketches describing the individual’s military service during the Civil War.  The “Cartographic Comparative Analysis of Undocumented Farmsteads at Fort McCoy” publication includes more property info than biographical info for the individual listed.  Biographies published in the following books are included in this master index:
