Topics: Introduction to Monroe County

Description:
An introduction to the history and geography of Monroe County. Through the reading of an interactive story, students will learn to associate an important person, place, thing, or concept from Monroe County to each letter of the alphabet. Students will also participate in hands-on activities to better connect with ideas and concepts about history and communities.

- Introduce important Monroe County people, places, and things
- Broaden understanding of Monroe County geography and communities
- Compare and contrast life today to life in the past
- Develop a personal connection to Monroe County
